Tuesday Afternoon - Term 3, Weeks 1 - 10

Service Description

Term 3 will focus on Todd Warner and his whimsical bird sculptures. This term is all about sculpture skills! We will learn how to make an armature using recycled objects and then papier mache over the top. Instead of painting this term, we will learn how we can use tissue paper to colour our sculptures. And, as always, we will be able to let loose and cover our creations with glitter, rhinestones, feathers, buttons and whatever else we can find to make our artwork look fabulous! Some important pieces of information: - Artists in Years 1 - 2 will be collected from their classrooms before the bell goes. Older artists can make their own way to Room 21. - Please make sure your child has an afternoon tea snack packed to give them energy for the afternoon. - Class runs from 3 - 4:30pm. - Unfortunately, I cannot offer refunds for missed classes because of sickness or appointments. The final class of the term (week 10, 16th September) may coincide with the school production (date TBC) so this class might need to be rescheduled. It's always so great getting to work with the same group of kids over a number of weeks. It's a cool way to experience different forms of art and make some new friends at the same time.
