For the second half of Term 1, we will be learning about the famous author and illustrator, Eric Carle. I'm sure you recognise his style from the Very Hungry Caterpillar! Eric Carle has a super cool art method where he paints paper using a variety of techniques, then cuts up the painted paper and creates a collage. In this series of lessons, kids will experiment with painting paper in different ways, and then learn how to create their very own Eric Carle inspired animal (or something else!) collage. It's always so great getting to work with a small group of kids over a number of weeks. It's a cool way to experience different forms of art and make some new friends at the same time. I hope you can join us! Artists in Years 1 - 2 will be collected from their classrooms before the bell goes. Older artists can make their own way to Room 21, unless you think they will need some extra help, in which case I can pick them up as well :) Class fully booked?
