Service Description

Are you in need of a place to store all your pens and pencils? If so, this is the class for you! In this class, kids will design and build their very own pencil cup out of clay. It can be based on any theme you fancy - pirates, ducks, flowers... the world is your oyster! In this class, children will learn a variety of clay hand building techniques such as coiling, making a pinch pot and slipping and scoring. There is also a focus on colour mixing as kids will have to use primary colours to mix together their colour palette. This class is suitable for children from year 1 - 8. If you have a slightly older child who would like to attend then this is totally fine. The art will still be appropriate for them, they just need to be aware that they will be spending the day with children younger than them. If your child is 5 or 6, please ensure that they are capable of focusing on a single project for a whole day. This session will run from 9 - 3. You are welcome to drop your children off after 8:45. Please do not drop them off earlier than this. You will need to bring a hat, old clothes that can get dirty, drink bottle, morning tea and lunch.
